Geoffrey H. Edmunds
President

Known for his luxury custom homes and condominiums located throughout Arizona, Colorado and Southern California, Geoffrey H. Edmunds has been a leading force in the building community for more than thirty years. As founder and president of Geoffrey H. Edmunds & Associates, Edmunds is responsible for establishing the vision and design standards of the firm including living environment, architectural design and community planning.

Edmunds began his career in the building industry while he was in college at Arizona State University (ASU), where he earned a degree in Accounting. While attending ASU, he learned the construction industry, obtained a real estate license and gained hands-on experience in the art of home selling. Along with Jerry Murphree, Edmunds formed Murphree-Edmunds, Inc. in 1971 and for six years they designed and constructed more than 100 custom homes, office buildings, warehouses, retail stores, 1,000 apartment units and a 150-room Sheraton hotel.

In 1977, Edmunds founded Geoffrey H. Edmunds & Associates, Inc., a family owned business, in Scottsdale, Arizona. While building luxury town homes and custom homes throughout Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, Arizona, the firm quickly became recognized for their unique architectural style and design, craftsmanship and quality.

In 1995, Toll Brothers, Inc., the nation’s leading luxury home building firm, purchased the firm. Edmunds served almost three years as President of the Southwestern division of Toll Brothers. After his tenure with Toll Brothers, Edmunds focused on a growing consulting business with developers of master-planned communities and urban residential projects.

Edmunds then joined forces with the Pivotal Group when they presented him with the opportunity to build the first high rise condominium in the Camelback Corridor of Phoenix, Arizona. The luxury development, Esplanade Place, featured 56 condominiums and sold out in just 16 months.

Edmunds has teamed with Phoenix-based Opus West to create and develop three landmark luxury condominium projects – The Plaza-Irvine, 3000 The Plaza, Irvine, California and Scottsdale Waterfront Residences in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Most recently, Edmunds joined forces again with the Pivotal Group to develop, Pinnacle Peak Place, 80 semi-custom luxury residences in an exclusive gated community located in North Scottsdale, Arizona.

Edmunds has been on the Board of Directors of the Homebuilders Association of Central Arizona since 1986, and served as its president in 1992. He was honored as a life director in 1996. He also represents the State of Arizona as Director of the National Association of Home Builders since 1991 and is the current Build Pac Chairman for Arizona. Under Edmunds’ leadership, his firm received two Homebuilders Association of Central Arizona “MAME” Grand Awards, which recognizes builders for major achievements in merchandising excellence. Geoffrey Edmunds California Inc. is a member of the Southern California Home Builders Association since 2005.

Edmunds has received numerous accolades and prestigious awards from Arizona State University (ASU). He helped to launch and was selected as an honorary member of the Dean’s Board of Excellence with ASU’s College of Business. Edmunds received the Arizona Business Leadership Award in 1995 and was honored with the Distinguished Achievement Award in 2001. He is a member of the University’s Presidents Club and the Phoenix Economic Council. He serves on the Board of Directors of the ASU Foundation and the Sun Angel Foundation.
